Terms of Service — Hyundai Research Institute
This English copy is a summary of the official Korean terms of service. In case of any discrepancy the Korean version prevails.
Chapter 1. General — Article 1 (Purpose) governs the conditions and procedures for using services provided by Hyundai Research Institute ("HRI"). Article 2 (Definitions) defines "Member" and related terms. Article 3 (Effect and Amendment) allows HRI to amend these terms by giving at least 7 days' prior notice (30 days for disadvantageous changes).
Chapter 2. User Agreement — Covers registration, information requested (email), consent handling, refusal of requests, and minors.
Chapter 3. Obligations of the Parties — HRI undertakes to provide continuous and stable service and to protect personal data. Members must provide accurate information and refrain from harmful conduct.
Chapter 4. Service Use — Information delivery by email or post, copyright and moderation of posts, service hours (24/7 in principle), and service suspension conditions.
Chapter 5. Termination — Voluntary termination by the member and HRI's right to terminate for violations.
Chapter 6. Privacy — Handled per HRI's Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
Chapter 7. Liability — Limited liability, force majeure exceptions.
Chapter 8. Intellectual Property — Member-posted content ownership and HRI's rights. Article 21-2 (Notice on the Use of Generative AI) — HRI may use generative AI tools such as Anthropic's Claude in the development and improvement of certain features, programs, screens, content or operational support tasks. Such tools are used solely to assist development and operations, and HRI remains responsible for the final provision, operation and management of the service. Outputs produced or assisted by generative AI may be incorporated into the service after HRI's review, and users acknowledge that, by the nature of generative AI, some information may contain errors, inaccuracies or limitations in timeliness. HRI continuously carries out the review and improvement measures necessary to maintain service quality.
Chapter 9. Jurisdiction — Courts with jurisdiction over HRI's head office address.
