The state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA)reported on June 2 that North Korea passed a lawon May 31 on a special zonefor international toursin Mount Kumgang， allowing for tours and investment from South Korea.
The official name of the law is “The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’sLaw onMount Kumgang Special Tourism Zone.” It is comprised of six chapters and 41 acts. The six chapters cover: 1) Basic Principles of Mount Kumgang Special Tourism Zone; 2) Management of the Special International Tourism Zone; 3) Tourism and Tour Services; 4) Establishment， Registration， and Operation of Corporations; 5) Protection of Economic Activities; and 6) Sanctions and Conflict Resolution.<
